What the job involves
- We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing Sales team in EMEA
- This role will be based out of our Dublin hub and will also involve occasional travel internationally for meetings and events
- Clio’s Ireland team drives our EMEA expansion and is home to product development, sales, marketing, and customer success
- The team operates like a startup within a larger company, which means we experiment and blaze the trail for Clio in new markets around the world
- This team is hyper-focused on enabling our customers’ success at every interaction point with Clio
- We are a dedicated team who enjoy what we do and are serious about truly making a positive impact on our customers’ businesses
- Our BDR team is a critical part of the engine that drives interest in Clio's product offerings across our prospective customer base
- They work with new customers to provide sound advice, offer solutions to complex problems using strong business acumen and resourcefulness
- Outbound telephone-based prospecting to identified target accounts within an assigned segment
- Your team will create qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executive teams that directly impact Clio’s revenue growth
- Cold-calling volume of 65-100 calls per day with the intent to qualify key leads
- Working and collaborating directly with our Account Executives
- Create awareness of, boost interest in, and set up demonstrations of Clio's product
- Build an understanding of the assigned territory/segment, develop unique solutions to uncover prospects and create leads
- Develop Sales skills through regular training and review cycles
- Consult and adapt to evolving sales environment
- Understand customers' practice areas, competitive differentiators, technical requirements, and demonstrate Clio's value proposition
- Report on weekly reports, both qualitative and quantitative
- Documenting all sales activities in Salesforce and meeting daily KPIs
Our take
Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialised remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.
Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.
Clio has raised a large amount of investment capital, most recently in a 2021 Series E round which saw the company attain unicorn status with a valuation exceeding $1 billion. This funding is being used to accelerate its product development, hire additional talent, and for expansion into new markets with a focus on the EMEA region, particularly the UK and Ireland.
