Generalist Engineer, Thema

• Python (strong proficiency) 3–5 years of experience building backend systems in production, working with modern Python (async and type hints)
• SQL (proficient) fluency with a solid understanding of the underlying query execution model
• Backend & Data: Comfortable working with distributed, data-intensive systems
• Code Standards: Ability to write high-quality code using modern testing and linting approaches
• Work close to the data: You’re confident analysing outputs, spotting issues, and understand what’s flowing through the pipeline
• Delivery mindset: You take ownership, unblock teammates, and focus on getting things over the line

Desirable

• Develop our backend which comprises multiple services and a proprietary in-memory vector database
• Develop our Data & ML pipelines, from loading third-party data to extracting products, segmenting industries, and multi-vector embedding
• Maintain our systems monitoring production, debugging and diagnosing issues, and ensure they run efficiently at scale
• Manage our infrastructure, using Infrastructure as Code to provision services reliably in the cloud
• Work closely with the CTO and collaborate with R&D and Product teams to design, build, and deliver features quickly
