Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a highly technical individual with a proven track record of delivering customer-facing AI functionality into production
- The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques including hands-on, practical experience in developing and implementing AI solutions, predictive analytics, recommendation systems and machine learning algorithms. Knowledge of AI applications in sales and customer relationship management is a plus
- 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 3-5 years in an ML/AI leadership role
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is highly preferred
- Proven record of successfully delivering customer-facing Applied AI functionality into production. Previous work experience within a startup environment is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of AI and ML techniques, such as deep learning, NLP, large language models, and generative AI
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively
- Familiarity in setting up AI/ML systems in AWS and Databricks environments
- Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- A passion for staying updated on the latest advancements in ML and AI and a strong drive to innovate and deliver high-quality solutions
- High level of self motivation with great organizational skills
- Hands-on person, working on the ground with a commitment to quality
- Experience guiding continuous improvement of process and technology
- Ability to take smart risks and champion new ideas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
What the job involves
- As the Head of Applied Artificial Intelligence in a Sales AI company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution and delivery of AI projects within our product roadmap
- You will work closely with leadership to define the scope of work and drive successful execution
- Lead the execution and delivery of AI projects in alignment with our product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Demonstrate a clear leadership brand and build followership across the business
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research and applications and assess their potential application within our product offering
- Design and build scalable AI systems on AWS, ensuring robustness, performance and reliability
- Drive continuous improvement in AI processes, methodologies, and best practices to optimize efficiency and quality
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
- Developing and implementing ML models and algorithms, with a focus on customer-centric functionality
- Act as a subject matter expert on AI-related topics, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
