Marketing Executive, Trainline

• We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Marketer to join our team
• This role is ideal for someone with a passion for B2B marketing, digital content creation, and brand storytelling
• Some experience in marketing, content creation, or digital marketing (internship or entry-level experience is a plus)
• Strong skills in social media management (especially LinkedIn) and content curation
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma) to create engaging marketing materials
• Collaboration with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of website management (Umbraco CMS experience is a plus)
• Interest in B2B marketing, travel industry insights, and competitive analysis
• Proactive, creative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in in a fast moving, high growth, tech or commercial environment

Desirable

• This is a newly created role within our Trainline Partner Solutions team (TPS) which is a technology services business with a specific focus on providing retailing and booking technology and services to the rail industry and distribution partners
• The team provides retailing products and services rail companies, as well as global rail booking technology to distribution partners such as Travel Management Companies, online booking tools, GDSs and corporate customers
• We have ambitious growth plans to be achieved through a combination of acquiring new clients and expanding existing client partnerships
• We are looking to hire a Marketing Executive to support a broad spectrum of marketing activities including brand alignment, product market campaigns and documentation creation, management of social media channels, including content creation
• The primary objective of the role is to bring better client and prospect engagement through the creation of thought leadership content and product marketing
• We operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, so you will be expected to prioritise and build ways of working that bring to life customer value and engagement
• You will work within an experienced, passionate team who will support you in getting up to speed and work alongside you to deliver thought-provoking, engaging and value driving campaigns

• The role will be supported by a cross functional team across marketing, tech, product and commercial
• This role will be based out of the UK, with some travel to other Trainline offices and clients required
• You will play a key role in managing our LinkedIn presence, developing sales and marketing collateral, maintaining our website, and uncovering industry insights to drive demand for rail travel, and working closely with our Product Team to create campaigns and documentation to support our rail Product Strategy
• Manage and curate content for our LinkedIn page, ensuring regular, engaging, and brand-aligned posts
• Design visually compelling and impactful social media posts and marketing collateral
• Maintain and update the TPS website, build/manage paid LinkedIn campaigns and LinkedIn boosting content activities
• Develop cohesive sales and marketing materials across various formats (presentations, brochures, digital content) to support business development efforts
• Support the team in preparing for external speaking events, including presentation design and promotional materials
• Research and extract industry insights from Trainline to create compelling B2B content that drives demand for rail travel among corporates, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and Online Booking Tools (OBTs)
• Conduct competition mapping to better understand the market landscape and inform strategic positioning
• Work closely with the product team to design and deliver product marketing campaigns, go to market product strategies, media/content creation, competitor analysis and customer engagement material
• Manage our CRM solution (Salesforce) to build email marketing campaigns
• Support the writing of product documentation, some experience of technical writing would be ideal but not essential
