Role
Who you are
- Strong experience in digital marketing across paid social and Google platforms in a customer-facing role
- Proven success managing enterprise-level accounts and driving measurable business outcomes
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google
- Hands-on experience with Smartly
- Ability to work through technical challenges and collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Experience translating complex customer goals into clear, actionable strategies
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and present to senior stakeholders
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup from the New York City office (at least 3 days per week)
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
What the job involves
- As a Senior Customer Success Manager at Smartly, you'll take ownership of our global customers from the first week on, give consultative advice, scope and drive long-term success and drive customer satisfaction. You will act as both a strategic and operational partner to Smartly’s global clients, functioning as a crucial link between them, the digital platforms and Smartly
- You get the seat in the cutting edge of the fast-paced online marketing industry, which allows you to learn super fast about growing and nurturing your own book of business, managing customer relationships with global clients, and scaling the operations of an ambitious growth company
- Manage and grow a portfolio of global customer accounts across platforms such as DV360, TikTok, YouTube, and Meta
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with both operational and executive stakeholders
- Drive adoption of Smartly solutions to improve customer performance, efficiency, and long-term retention
- Translate customer goals into clear success plans and measurable outcomes
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Creative, and Marketing teams to solve customer challenges and share insights that influence product development
- Act as a consultative partner by bringing industry knowledge, platform best practices, and strategic guidance to customers
- Lead commercial and strategic conversations, including business reviews, proposals, and expansion opportunities
- Contribute to internal initiatives that improve workflows, scale customer success practices, and enhance customer engagement
- Mentor peers and share best practices to support the growth of the global Customer Success team
Our take
Smartly.io helps advertisers automate their campaigns across the largest media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. After seeing quick success following Facebook’s 2012 IPO, the company now works with over 700 brands including eBay, Uber, Ralph Lauren, Under Armour and TechStyle.
Its suite of tools automatically creates ads and videos from product images - handling budget allocation and audience targeting, as well as analysing where and when to purchase advertising. Consequently, Smartly.io has positioned itself to play a leading role in a market where brand and performance work are converging.
Smartly.io sold a majority stake to Providence Equity Partners in 2019 in a move to further its presence in the US. The company has since gone on to make several acquisitions of its own with Viralspace.ai and Ad-Lib.io. Smartly.io's ability to adapt to evolving advertising trends supports its continued growth, and its introduction of AI-powered intelligence across its platform shows it is keeping up with technology trends too.
