Who you are
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science
- In depth knowledge of architectures, computer science principles and the latest UI/UX technologies
- 5+ years developing UI/UX focused products and applications
- Responsive and component based web apps
- JavaScript
- Typescript, React and/or VueJS
- HTML/CSS
- SDK development expertise
- A/B testing experience
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to join the AvaCloud team
- The AvaCloud team is responsible for simplifying the experience to launch, manage, and grow web3 applications on an Avalanche Subnet
- This particular role will be responsible for creating a compelling front end with streamlined UX that makes it easy for users to deploy custom blockchains without the typical complexity of web3
- The Senior Front End Engineer will work closely with a team of backend engineers, product designers, and product managers to deliver on the AvaCloud product vision
- Design, build and deploy highly secure, scalable and maintainable client facing UI systems
- Provide expertise in building the most user friendly, visually appealing product User Interfaces
- Lead client feedback sessions & experimentation while acting as key UI stake holder for cross departmental projects
- Create developer libraries and SDKs
- Lead code reviews and A/B testing projects

Ava Labs’ open-source platform Avalanche enables companies to launch decentralized applications with all the benefits of blockchain, whilst processing a record-smashing 4,500 transactions per second. The company's strategy has been to tailor its blockchain to specific applications, establishing a reputation in the sector through efficient hard-and-fast use cases with low fees. This has allowed it to operate alongside blockchain giants like Ethereum that hoard large amounts of the DeFi market.
In answering the strong appetite for a cheaper and more scalable blockchain consensus, Ava Labs has found a keen audience, and secured the ability to pursue its goal of opening the space up to more users. The Avalanche platform has become the first to partner with Amazon Web Services, becoming part of a project to bring blockchain technology to government and enterprises. The company also partnered with digital identity verification provider Blockpass, to collaborate towards furthering the safety, security and capabilities of the ecosystem.
