Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in building, deploying, and maintaining data-driven products or machine learning models
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented programming
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in key data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog, AWS, Github Actions, etc.) is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders
- A team player with a passion for both data products and platform engineering, and a desire to grow in both areas
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science team
- In this role, you will take ownership of a high-revenue, state-of-the-art data product, managing its development, deployment, and ongoing optimization
- You will work closely with the Tech Lead to help build and maintain the ML Ops infrastructure that powers the platform
- This is a unique opportunity to contribute to both the platform’s infrastructure and innovative data products, making it ideal for individuals interested in both software engineering and machine learning solutions
- Take ownership of a high-revenue data product, managing its development, deployment, and optimization
- Lead the development and management of additional data products, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure the products meet business needs and support efficient workflows
- Contribute to major changes in the ML Ops platform, working closely with the Tech Lead
- Help build and maintain infrastructure components, including data pipelines, version control, and CI/CD systems
- Work closely with data scientists to understand their needs and improve platform support for rapid experimentation and deployment

Whilst legacy banks have traditionally been focused on a specific service within the financial industry, MoneyLion have built a full-service digital platform to deliver mobile banking, lending, and investment solutions. From their app, users can get a complete overview of their financial lives.
It is a neobank on the rise. Since its launch in 2013, MoneyLion has signed up nearly 8 million users, doubled its revenue between 2020-2021 and acquired a stake in digital asset settlement provider Zero Hash, adding crypto-based investing to their platform.
However, this is a highly competitive industry and one that in the first quarter of 2023, was highly volatile. MoneyLion also has big competition against the likes of Chime, Revolut, and RobinHood. Whilst competitive and operating within an evolving space, MoneyLion is continuing on a strong path through its marketplace strategy, matching members with partner brands and saw an increase in revenue through 2023.
