Role
Who you are
- We are looking for someone passionate, curious and ambitious
- We are looking for a track record of proven success with 3+ years of COSS software/platform sales focused on API Management, infrastructure software, integration, or related fields
- 3+ years in a B2B, SaaS or Open Source Software organization with measurable and demonstrated success selling to a variety of company profiles
- Understanding of API Management & Identity/Access Management Solutions
- Experience in MEDDIC, outbound outreach and generating your own opportunities within a target list of enterprise accounts
- Strong ability to influence key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and excellent written/verbal communication skills
- This position requires the ability to hunt & prospect into new accounts, develop and maintain business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations and large projects
- Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
What the job involves
- We are currently recruiting for an Account Executive to join our growing business
- Reporting to the VP Sales
- Manage end-to-end sales process
- Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts
- Managing multiple opportunities at varying stages of the sales cycle
- Collaborating with the Customer & Marketing teams in your territory
- Driving a solid and consistent outbound opportunity generation to complement inbound sales opportunities
- Work closely with product teams to drive the roadmap through customer feedback
- Effectively qualify leads and identify prospect needs, engaging technical resources as required
- Create client demos/ presentations, quotes/ proposals, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Our take
APIs allow data, services, and companies more agility and more interconnectedness, spurring on digital growth and transformation, and allowing tech to develop at a faster clip. The problem facing many large organizations, however, is that they can lean on upwards of 250 APIs at any one time, and managing these is a monumentous task. Gravitee.io is one of a number of API management software companies looking to address this urgent need, creating a market that’s expected to balloon to over $20B over the coming years.
API management software company Mulesoft was acquired in a multi-billion dollar deal by SalesForce, and another major player Plaid achieved a valuation of over $13 billion after an attempted merger with Visa was blocked by regulators. Whilst Gravitee is still operating on a more modest scale, this demonstrates the huge market potential they are tapping into. This market is growing rapidly, too - nearly three quarters of large US organisations are looking to expand their use of APIs in the coming years. This means Gravitee.io is making a name for itself, as well as some strong funding, at a good time to ride the wave.
