- Experience: 2+ years of sales experience
- Full cycle sales Expertise: Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets, with the ability to develop and learn through experimentation
- Passion for Digital Ecosystem: A genuine passion for the digital ecosystem and familiarity with top-tier influencers
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance metrics, communicate learnings, and make evidence-based recommendations
- Critical Thinking and Efficiency: Ability to think critically and execute tasks accurately and efficiently
- Organizational Skills: Highly detailed, organized, and planning-oriented, with exceptional follow-through, initiative, and time management skills
- Independence and Multitasking: Ability to be independent, self-motivated, and multitask in a fast-paced environment

- In this role, you'll be the driving force behind sourcing, engaging, and closing deals with creators on Teachable
- This is your chance to make a significant impact in the ever-evolving landscape of the creator economy!
- You will be responsible for driving upsells to Teachable’s schools and new customers to adopt and publish on the platform quickly, and in turn generating more course sales (GMV) on the Teachable platform
- This role will collaborate with teams including Creator Success, Marketing/Events, and Growth to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads and achieve targeted sales metrics
- The Inside Sales Representative will report to the Manager, Customer Success
- Identify and Activate: Convert inbound leads into paying customers by effectively qualifying prospects, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward the right Teachable plan—driving high conversion rates with a performance-based compensation structure
- Identify and Upsell: Leverage Teachable’s extensive data and large pool of successful creators to identify those who should be on custom contracts or upgraded plans
- Drive adoption: Engage with up-and-coming creators and selling seats to work with our Customer Success team
- Represent Teachable: Understand our product and offerings in such that providing the best solutions for schools comes easy and with high conversion rates
- Maintain Effective Communication: Keep open and effective communication with partners, proactively finding timely solutions to resolve any issues or challenges
- Report and Analyze: Manage all key reporting metrics meticulously, providing valuable insights to drive decision-making and strategy
Our take
Teachable is an edtech platform helping users set up and manage their own video-content businesses. Running on a SaaS subscription model, Teachable gives teachers the tools to fully design, deliver, and market their own courses.
Teachable's main competitors are e-learning giants Udemy, Coursera, and Pluralsight. Whilst these companies are well-established and heavily financed, Teachable’s argument is that their comparatively restrictive course development tools make the site a bad option for teachers looking to run a business.
Teachable was acquired by Brazilian edtech platform Hotmart which were looking for a leg up in the North American market. With Teachable's sights also set on global expansion, this new access to the Latin American market may prove a savvy decision for both companies. The company launched several new features in 2023 and brand partnerships in 2024 which is set to further propel Teachable forward.
