Software Test Engineer, Harbinger Motors

• We're looking for someone with a strong background in developing robust automated validation and verification frameworks, especially for embedded systems and graphical interfaces
• Proficient in Python, Pytest, and OpenCV, with a proven track record of developing automated validation and verification frameworks for embedded systems and graphical interfaces
• Familiar with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using Gherkin syntax for clear, stakeholder-driven test case definitions
• Working knowledge of embedded Linux distributions, including Yocto and Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), with experience in system-level testing for automotive applications
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our advanced infotainment systems
• You'll be instrumental in defining, developing, and executing test cases to ensure our infotainment systems meet the highest standards of performance, functionality, and user experience
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for infotainment systems using Python, Pytest, and OpenCV
• Implement and execute automated validation and verification processes for embedded systems and graphical user interfaces
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand system architecture, functional requirements, and technical specifications
• Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies, utilizing Gherkin syntax to define clear, stakeholder-driven test cases
• Conduct system-level testing on embedded Linux distributions, including Yocto and Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), specifically for automotive applications
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working hand-in-hand with developers to ensure timely resolution
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases for new features and functionalities
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and test case reviews to ensure testability and quality from the outset
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide clear and concise test reports, summaries, and metrics to stakeholders
