Role
Who you are
- Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience within the DACH region in a SaaS based, Identity and Cyber Security company with a successful track record in selling large deals of $1 million plus ARR
- Established network of professionals in strategic partners and leading enterprise organisations in the region
- A proven track record and demonstrated success in leading teams selling SaaS/ Cloud enterprise software to large enterprises and global companies
- Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing a geographically distributed team and managing in a virtual environment
- Strong track record of successfully implementing revenue strategies and achieving sales targets
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Must have been a part of President's Club/ Winner's Circle/ Achiever's Club/ Platinum Club/ Others in the past
- Must be willing to travel extensively (50%)
What the job involves
- The VP Field Sales DACH, will serve as a key member of the Saviynt Revenue Team
- This role will drive the strategy and execution of all sales initiatives across the region which includes Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- You will ensure short and long-term revenue expansion, including setting the strategic direction to meet revenue goals
- Direct responsibility for the leadership of the field sales organisation within the region and driving growth from new and existing customers
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute an effective sales strategy to penetrate large enterprise accounts across the DACH region
- Mentor and inspire a high-performing software sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Sales Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales team, ensuring they meet and exceed revenue targets
- Foster a high-performance sales culture, emphasising accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement
- Customer Acquisition: Oversee customer acquisition strategies to expand the customer base in DACH
- Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance revenue streams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage partnerships for mutual success
- Sales Performance Analysis: Implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve sales performance
- Utilise data analytics to gain insights into market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscapes
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets. Provide regular reports to executive leadership on sales performance and achievements
- Innovation and Adaptation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to identify opportunities for innovation. Lead the organisation in adapting to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product development, marketing, and customer success
- Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter
- Review (initially and annually thereafter), understand, and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to):
- Data Classification, Retention & Handling Policy
- Incident Response Policy/Procedures
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Policy/Procedures
- Mobile Device Policy
- Account Management Policy
- Access Control Policy
- Personnel Security Policy
- Privacy Policy
Our take
Sayvint’s Identity Governance and Administration platform helps secure access to corporate systems in the cloud such as Workday, Office 365, AWS, Salesforce, SAP and Hadoop. It was created to offer an innovative, modern solution as its founder believed that existing identity services were not optimised.
By spending its early years in stealth mode, developing its product technology and switching to a cloud based model, the company was well prepared for a quick up-scale. This has been achieved partly because of the fact that it favours targeting large companies, boasting clients like Marriott, BP, KuppingerCole and Toyota Connected.
Sayvint faces a major rival in the form of SailPoint, which was an earlier entrant in the space, and went public sooner. However, Sayvint is growing rapidly and has converted some notable customers from SailPoint in the process. The company has continually invested in its platform to maintain a competitive edge, earning industry recognition along the way, and has recently concentrated on securing new customers and growing its partner ecosystem.
