Who you are
- Admin & management workflows: You have experience building products for setup, configuration, permissions, and operational management
- API product depth: You understand API-as-a-product thinking and can define durable object models, versioning strategies, and deprecation policies
- Developer experience: You can reason about docs, error messages, SDK ergonomics, and workflow design as core to adoption and success

- Product Management General Skills:
- Education: You have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience. MBA or other advanced degree a plus
- Product experience: You have 3+ years of product management experience, ideally on an existing product through a growth or scaling phase
- Technical fluency: You have enough technical depth to have credible conversations with engineers about APIs, architecture, and system constraints without needing everything translated
- Stakeholder navigation: You have experience managing competing priorities across multiple audiences — individual contributors, managers, and executives — and can drive alignment without direct authority
- Customer focus: You have a demonstrated track record of translating customer needs into shipped product, through direct research, sales partnership, or usage data
- Data fluency: You have experience defining and tracking product metrics, and using data to prioritize roadmap decisions and separate signal from noise
- Roadmap ownership: You have experience making and defending tradeoff decisions under real resource constraints and competing stakeholder demands
- Go-to-market partnership: You have experience working with sales and marketing on launches, pricing inputs, or positioning, and understand how product decisions affect the commercial motion
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to own setup, configuration, and management workflows for our device intelligence platform — ensuring developers can successfully deploy, administer, and maintain Fingerprint across all surfaces: Dashboard, Management APIs, and MCP experiences
- Setup, configuration, and ongoing administration (end-to-end)
- Drive the roadmap for how customers and internal teams:
- Onboard and set up Fingerprint deployments (org/project/environment setup, keys, SDK/application settings)
- Configure product behavior and controls (rules, policies, allow/deny lists, thresholds, feature toggles where applicable)
- Manage permissions and access (roles, scoped access, key management, auditability)
- Monitor health and ensure operational reliability (alerts, status/diagnostics, usage & limit visibility, error observability, troubleshooting workflows)
- Dashboard experiences for admins and operators
- Partner with product and design to define coherent, best-in-class admin UX in the Dashboard, including:
- Configuration and management UI that maps cleanly to the underlying object model
- Permissions and access management experiences
- Clear system status, diagnostics, and guided remediation
- Cohesive terminology and workflows that match the APIs and MCP
- Management APIs as a first-class product surface
- Own the Management APIs roadmap as a product surface for setup and administration:
- Define/maintain the object model (orgs, projects, environments, keys, configs, permissions) and ensure consistency across surfaces
- Drive API lifecycle management (versioning, migration plans, deprecation policy, and breaking-change governance)
- Ensure enterprise-grade concerns are addressed (authn/authz patterns, regional/residency constraints where relevant, rate limits/quotas, audit logs)
- Maintain developer experience quality (docs, examples, SDK ergonomics where applicable, error design, idempotency & pagination conventions)
- MCP experiences for setup and management
- Ensure MCP server capabilities support configuration and administration use cases, including:
- Agent-friendly management actions and safe guardrails (permissions, confirmations, least-privilege)
- Consistent semantics between MCP tools and Management APIs (naming, parameters, outputs)
- Workflows that reduce operational toil for both customers and internal teams
- Roadmap, prioritization, and cross-surface governance
- Maintain a clear, well-reasoned roadmap across Dashboard, Management APIs, and MCP for the “set up, configure, and manage” job-to-be-done:
- Write crisp PRDs and align stakeholders on tradeoffs and sequencing
- Drive design/product governance for cross-surface decisions (object model changes, permissions model changes, naming, and deprecations)
- Coordinate planning and dependencies across engineering teams, design, and GTM partners
- Keep user workflows cohesive across surfaces (avoid seams where one surface lags or behaves differently)
- Launch & customer enablement
- Coordinate launches and adoption for management capabilities:
- Own documentation updates, migration guides, and operational runbooks
- Partner with PMM/CS to deliver enablement materials and best practices
- Ensure releases are usable end-to-end across UI, APIs, and MCP with clear communication and rollout plans
Our take
Digital fingerprinting is an essential process in web browsers that tracks the digital address of a device to monitor web activity. This technique facilitates the identification of fraud and spam, as well as warning signs of account takeovers. However, the success of this requires users to accept cookies, a requirement that is easy to avoid.
Fingerprint provides a digital fingerprinting tool that generates a unique identifier of browser activity without requiring the user to accept cookies. The service uses the same WebGL and canvas fingerprinting utilized by existing competitors, but instead of focusing on devices, it identifies web activity. Suspicious activity will result in the identified user being logged in a database, allowing the service to be improved for others.
With this innovative approach, Fingerprint has been able to build up an impressive client roster of over 6,000 companies, including 16% of the top 500 websites by traffic. As well as displaying sustained growth through funding rounds, the company has also continued to improve upon its offering.
