Who you are
- 2-3+ years of relevant work experience in an account executive role or account management sales role, preferably within SaaS sales
- Excellent communication skills via eMail, Slack, and Zoom – you’re someone who’s comfortable translating technical terms for customers who find technology confusing or intimidating
- Proficiency using a CRM (preferably Salesforce) to maintain and capture accurate sales data and documentation
- You are competitive and driven to achieve goals
- You have exceptional organizational skills, and can follow systems for managing a pipeline of high volume business
- You have a consistent track record of identifying customer needs and successfully implementing solutions
- You are flexible, adaptive, and resilient

What the job involves
- Our SMB (Small and Midsize Business) Sales Team is responsible for bringing in some of the most exciting new customers to 1Password
- As an SMB Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to work with prospective clients to understand their requirements, identify problems and present clear solutions that meet their needs
- Your objective is to build strong relationships with customers, share your enthusiasm for 1Password, demonstrate the product to key stakeholders, and guide them through the purchasing process to drive new business sales
- You will act as the main point of contact for prospective clients interested in evaluating 1Password, and responsible for that relationship until a customer purchases
- Generate new business sales leads, convert prospects into 1Password customers, resulting in meeting sales quotas
- Manage a pipeline of clients and understand decision drivers for each deal
- Maintain accurate sales data and documentation by using tools including Salesforce
- Work with various stakeholders within an organization, often including C-Suite Executives, Engineering and Security teams

Having started with a simple product for consumers, the company has now built out an impressive enterprise offering with over 100,000 business customers. However, its roots in B2C have arguably led to their B2B success with bottom-up adoption in large companies and a vibrant community of enthusiasts around the product.
The company is now looking to drive continued growth with an expansion of engineering and product teams to build out the portfolio of products. In particular, password management opens the door to new types of insights around unused accounts, low-security risk criteria, and unauthorized applications which are invaluable for security teams. Its continued improvements to its iOS and Android offerings prove its adaptability to mobile consumer behaviours.

However, 1password’s leadership hopes its superior user experience, exemplified by a 2024 launched global partner programme of sales marketing and enablement resource toolkits will underscore its nimble approach and help it win out in the lucrative cybersecurity space.
