Who you are
- Strong technical capability, with excellent SQL skills and high proficiency in MS Office
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Familiarity with Databricks and Azure (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and consolidating data from multiple sources
- Proven track record of delivering insights that influence strategic decisions
- Strong storytelling ability, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of business value creation

What the job involves
- This role is being offered on a 12 month FTC
- As a Senior Insights Analyst, you’ll join our Consumer Insights Team, part of the wider Data & Insights function, working closely with colleagues across Data Engineering, Reporting, Data Science and Digital Analytics
- Together, these teams unlock the full potential of our data — with Consumer Insights playing a critical role in turning complex information into meaningful insight that shapes strategy and deepens our understanding of customer behaviour
- This is a highly visible role with real influence, where your insights will directly support decision‑making at every level of the business — including the C‑suite
- Delivering Impactful Insights
- Produce high‑quality, actionable insights across key operational and commercial metrics
- Support supplier reconciliations, dispute resolution and P&L control frameworks
- Analyse digital product changes, experiments and trials to assess performance and impact
- Conduct user requirement analysis and define the most effective analytical approaches
- Partner with Data Engineering to resolve data issues and ensure data quality and integrity
- Identify, articulate and measure opportunities for business value creation
- Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Empower decision‑makers with timely, comprehensive and compelling analysis
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business
- Confidently influence decision‑making through insight, storytelling and commercial understanding
- Work cross‑functionally to ensure insights are practical, relevant and outcome‑focused
- Supporting Team Development
- Drive continuous improvement in analytics techniques, tools and ways of working
- Support the delivery of wider Insight & Analytics projects and objectives
- Contribute to a high‑performance, data‑driven team culture
- Mentor and support junior colleagues in the delivery of insightful, high‑quality analysis
Our take
TalkTalk is a connectivity provider serving 4 million customers. Originally founded as a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse, it was demerged as a standalone company in 2010. TalkTalk boasts a number of firsts in the industry; including launching free calls between its customers, providing a whole-home filtering service, and bringing WiFi 6 router technology to the UK.
In hopes of optimising the experience of its broadband customers, TalkTalk has partnered with DZS, which is a leader in access and optical edge infrastructure and cloud software solutions. TalkTalk will leverage the market-leading technologies of DZS, including DZS CloudCheck and Expresse Cloud EDGE, towards reducing call escalations, minimising equipment replacements and shortening call handling times.
In 2022, TalkTalk acquired rival SSE from Ovo Energy, in order to bolster its customer portfolio. Rumours of its own acquisition by Virgin Media O2 followed that same year, though the deal did not come to fruition. The company also agreed a partnership with Telecom Acquisitions, the manager of a number of broadband ISP brands and products, which includes TalkTalk securing the controlling stake in the company.
