Who you are

We're looking for a motivated and highly intelligent Software Engineer ready to make an impact
You have 2+ years of working experience as a software engineer and a strong drive to learn and grow
You possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proficiency in Python with solid skills and eagerness to apply them
Strong interest in backend development and a willingness to focus primarily on this area
Basic understanding or interest in machine learning and a willingness to develop your skills in this area
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus
Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly
Organized self-starter who can stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning
Interest or passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning

Desirable

Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects that have had a meaningful impact or added value are a plus
German language skills are a plus
Knowledge about nursing homes/the industry is a plus

Contribute to our AI Automation Platform for Nurses
Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python
Work with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
Collaborate with product, design, and seasoned ML teams to turn ideas into solutions

Our take

Dexter Health is a German health-tech founded in 2021 by a doctor and a tech engineer. Its main product is an AI-powered voice assistant built for hospitals and care facilities, helping staff manage tasks, communicate, and log information hands-free.

Unlike consumer voice assistants, specifically for healthcare, with privacy and sensitivity in mind. It works quietly in the background, without screens or intrusive monitors, and is fully aligned with EU data protection standards.

While the use of AI in healthcare may raise ethical concerns, Dexter shows real promise, having been tested in real care settings and continues to run in pilot projects. With a focus on responsible design, the company aims to ease staff workloads and make everyday healthcare more efficient.
