What the job involves

Reports to: Sales Development Manager
Without a beginning there is no end. In our Sales Development department sales cycles are born, as well as sales careers. We look forward to welcoming our next New Business Executive (NBE) focusing on the DACH region at ChargePoint
The NBE is responsible for strategically developing sales opportunities for the ChargePoint Sales team within medium and large enterprises. The main focus will be to innovatively engage with prospective business buyers, to identify and qualify the lead through an educated variety of inbound and outbound approaches
The position will require flexibility in working with the changing environment of a global sales force and the position holder will undertake other duties as assigned. There is no travel expected for this role
Engage with prospective buyers to kick-off sales cycles and generate qualified opportunities within a prescribed geographic territory and/or customer sector
Assist the Sales team to successfully close sales cycles
Work closely with the Sales, Sales Enablement and Marketing teams to assist with the continual improvement and delivery of strong day- to-day processes and systems for lead generation

Our take

Electric vehicles are predicted to account for nearly 30% of new vehicle sales by 2025, which means the need for EV charging infrastructure is on the rise. ChargePoint supplies just such infrastructure, with hardware, software and mobile solutions for "every charging need".

Boasting the world’s largest EV charging network, the company also provides complimentary services for drivers, businesses and fleets. These include, for example, a mobile app for finding and paying for charging, and project management tools for making the switch to EVs.

Having already established a strong presence in the lucrative and expanding EV charging market, ChargePoint is well-positioned to support the electric mobility revolution. It serves a range of clients across North America and Europe, including Wells Fargo which it partnered to create financing solutions for EV infrastructure. November 2025 saw funds secured that will support its goal of reaching profitability in the near future.
