Who you are
- This role is for a sales leader who thrives in a rapid-growth, high-velocity environment
- You are a dedicated professional passionate about coaching a team to drive revenue growth from our existing customer base
- The ideal candidate will be a strategic manager focused on developing deep client relationships and positioning their team to successfully identify expansion opportunities and cross-sell new products
- Success in this role requires being highly organized, articulate, and sensitive to our customers' evolving needs
- Demonstrated success as both a top-performing salesperson and team leader/manager
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing sales teams through regular 1:1’s, continuous training and coaching
- Consultative selling experience, selling multiple products to new and existing customers
- Track record of building and leading sales teams with experience in both inbound and outbound sales models
- Experience working in fast-paced and high-growth technology companies
- A track record of developing people and building high-velocity sales teams
- Extraordinary communication and organizational skills. Ability to gain buy-in and motivate a team
- A competitive mindset
- Experience using tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, SalesNav or similar is a plus
- Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI
What the job involves
- Our Customer Sales Account Executive team is the engine that drives our expansion efforts to close. They provide sound advice, give product demonstrations, work with cross-functional teams, and offer solutions to complex problems using strong business acumen and resourcefulness
- They do it quickly, efficiently, and flawlessly while continuing to revolutionize an entire industry
- Day-to-day management of our Customer Sales Account Executive team
- Hire, motivate, mentor and provide training to increase efficiency, productivity, and overall skill sets of our Account Executive team
- Deliver on monthly MRR targets for your assigned sales teams
- Sell to and manage a defined sales territory
- Quote, negotiate, and assist sales reps in closing
- Maintain accurate Salesforce data for your team and provide reliable forecast information to upper management
- Actively participate in territory planning and opportunity development
- Hold team members accountable to sales metrics and KPI's
- Diligent use of sales tools (Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, Gong, ScratchPad, etc.)
- Recruit team members for ongoing and future headcount needs
- Identify areas for improvement and take an active role in coaching and developing a dynamic team
- Work closely with Sales Leadership and our extended cross-functional teams
- Other sales and leadership duties, as they arise
Our take
Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialised remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.
Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.
Clio has raised a large amount of investment capital and benefited from the COVID-era move to cloud technologies. Most recently, it raised a 2024 Series F round, which saw the company attain a valuation exceeding $3 billion. This funding is being used to accelerate AI development and to allow existing investors and employees to cash out their shares.
