Role
Who you are
- Some experience in data operations, business analysis, data analytics, marketing technology or data product management
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate requirements and solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple teams (Marketing, Product, Engineering)
- Proficiency with SQL and working with user level data
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines
- Must support US east coast hours
Desirable
- Experience working in Data Warehouses (e.g., AWS Snowflake, Google BigQuery)
- Experience working with CRM and cross-channel messaging platforms, preferably Braze, Adobe, or Salesforce. Email channel experience required. Mobile channels experience (including Push, In-App, SMS, WhatsApp, etc.) are a plus
- Experience in Direct to Consumer business. Subscription and lifecycle marketing is a plus
- Experience creating/setting up UAT/QA test plans
What the job involves
- The Marketing Business Analyst, Data and Lifecycle Marketing Tech plays an integral, cross-functional role within the MarTech team
- You will be on the front lines of building and maintaining a best-in-class MarTech and Data stack that supports Growth and Lifecycle Marketing efforts
- You will meet with Marketing teams to understand campaign tactics and document requirements
- You will work firsthand in our data platform to analyze and map Max user-level data to campaign requirements
- You will work closely with Data Engineering to translate these requirements to specific data requests that will ultimately enable segmentation, personalization and measurement capabilities with the stack
- Work with Marketing and CRM teams to understand and document campaign segmentation requirements and activation use cases
- Support data discovery, definition, source-to-target mapping, and validation efforts to enable the desired data flows and configuration in MarTech platforms
- Work with engineering teams to provide and test data platform feature enhancements end to end
- Document the data flows between the data MarTech platforms
- Help monitor health of data pipelines and ingestion process
- Take direction from the Director, MarTech, as needed

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is an entertainment company formed from the 2022 merger of Warner Bros and Discovery. It is a leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing, and marketing of content, with Warner Bros alone boasting a huge library – more than 100,000 hours of programming – before the companies were joined. WBD’s portfolio includes Discovery Channel, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Discovery+, HBO Max, and franchises like “Batman” and “Harry Potter”.
Both of the company’s previous businesses have operated throughout the digitisation of the media space. David Zaslav, CEO of WBD, headed Discovery during its expansion into digital media, to make it a “content company” over a “cable company”. The recent focus for Warner Bros has been on next-gen distribution efforts, expanding the availability of its content across platforms and devices to reach the modern viewer. The new company has plans to migrate to one tech stack, which will require extensive retooling, as well as exploring cost-saving automation opportunities for its operations.
Since the merger, the new giant that is Warner Bros Discovery has had a shaky start, forcing the company to wind down operations and cut back on content, which included the very public scrapping of the “Batgirl” movie. However, it now seems the company may have been ahead of the curve, as a wider trend of cutbacks has been seen from peers in the space. This early move, combined with a hyper-focus on cash generation, seeks to establish WBD as an outperformer in an industry on the downturn.
