Who you are
- 4+ years’ experience in affiliates and/or partnerships marketing
- Deep understanding of affiliate platforms such as Impact, Rakuten, or similar networks
- Proven experience driving measurable growth through affiliate and partnership programs
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage contracts tied to performance outcomes
- Analytical mindset with a strong grasp of LTV, CPA, and ROAS
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and bias toward action
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Passion for Cleo’s mission and sustainability
- Nice to Have: Experience in FinTech, AI or another scale-up business
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an Affiliates and Partnerships Lead to scale Cleo’s performance-driven partner ecosystem across the US and international markets. You’ll own the strategy and execution of affiliate programs and partnerships that drive user growth
- Working closely with the Growth Marketing and Creative teams, you’ll blend commercial acumen, relationship-building, and data-driven decision-making to deliver impact
- This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves experimenting, and wants to grow a high-performing channel at one of the most exciting fintech brands in the space
- Owning Cleo’s affiliate and partnership strategy across the US and international markets
- Managing day-to-day operations across affiliate networks to drive scalable, high-quality user growth
- Building and nurturing relationships with affiliate partners, onboarding, optimizing performance, and driving ROAS
- Negotiating commercial terms and opportunities to maximize performance within budget
- Identifying and executing performance-driven partnerships with brands and marketplaces that align with Cleo’s mission
- Collaborating with creative teams to develop and optimize campaign assets that deliver results
- Reporting on performance and leveraging insights to refine strategies and improve channel efficiency
- Developing more sophisticated reporting and measurement solutions to enhance decision-making
- Managing one team member to deliver against ambitious growth goals

Cleo was one of the first companies to make great use of chatbots that sit within Facebook's messenger app. This chatbot-first approach and Gen Z user base have given it strong virality. It now has millions of registered users, 99% of which are based in the US, leading to a decision to take a year break from the UK market to focus on its US Gen Z customers. And after a successful year in the US its now eyeing up a return to the UK.
Its Series C funding will help the company to double down in the US, where it will make a significant increase in employee headcount, and enable Cleo to maintain and expand its service during an economic downturn.
Financial advice delivered via bots is a crowded space, so Cleo benefits from having a strong brand presence. It has gone for very bold, fun, Gen Z-focused messaging which helps it to stand out from competitors such as Emma, Plum, and Chip.
