Role
Who you are
- 2–3 years of experience in financial services sales, institutional/buy-side roles, or adjacent industries
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and a strong appetite for client growth
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with a data-driven approach to market engagement
- Solid understanding of financial markets, the asset management industry, and the investment ecosystem
- Ability to simplify complex deal structures and navigate client objections with confidence and clarity
- Skilled in building relationships with senior client stakeholders (CIOs, heads of product, portfolio managers, and distribution leaders)
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings, industry events, and on-site presentations
What the job involves
- FTSE Russell’s Index business has a proven track record of double-digit growth, and we’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Associate to help us continue that trajectory
- In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a book of business among U.S. -based Asset Managers, using your market insight and relationship-building skills to deepen client engagement and drive new revenue
- This is a highly visible and client-facing role that blends strategic sales execution with cross-functional collaboration
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the investment ecosystem, a consultative sales mindset, and a desire to contribute to a fast-growing, globally recognized index provider
- Manage and grow a defined regional territory, targeting over $1MM in annual revenue through a combination of account management and prospecting
- Consistently close deals on a monthly and quarterly basis, aligned with FTSE Russell’s strategic priorities
- Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, track activity, and drive accurate forecasting
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including product, legal, and account management—to deliver value-driven solutions to clients
- Serve as a trusted representative of FTSE Russell, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity

It operates as a part of LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), one of the world’s leading providers of financial markets infrastructure, as a marketplace to enable stock brokers and traders to buy and sell stocks, bonds, and other securities.
The London Stock Exchange has lived through a stream of innovations; from telegraph and telephone, to the Market Price Display System, automatic trade matching, and the digitisation of issuer services. In 2019 it acquired Refinitiv, a financial information company, and in doing so became a global financial news and data business.
Most recently, the London Stock Exchange has made moves to support the evolution of private markets, and further build its presence in this space. It partnered with Floww, a platform that connects investors with private companies, with aims to launch a private primary capital raising facility, as well as explore new technologies and secondary market options for the platform.
