Role
Who you are
- You are a proficient ML Engineer passionate about creative technologies
- Always eager to tackle challenging tasks, proactive and curious, you are continuously on the lookout for learning opportunities and excel in environments that value collaboration, ongoing improvement, and a touch of creativity
- You focus on results and efficiency with autonomy and rigour in your work
- Education: You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- ML knowledge: You have a broad understanding of machine learning techniques, data structures, algorithms and statistics
- ML experience: You have strong skills and experience in ML/AI pipelines development, tuning, integration and deployment (cloud and/or on-device). You have knowledge and experience about GCP or other cloud platform and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Python programming: You are proficient in Python and you have experience with APIs and backend development. Experience with ML-oriented API framework (e.g. BentoML) is a plus
- Additional knowledges: Experience with image and/or video generation and processing models and tools (Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, LoRA, ComfyUI, Gradio etc) is a plus. Skills and experience in basic web frontend development and deployment is a plus. Knowledge on CoreML or other on-device ML/AI framework is a plus
- Drivenness: You have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and mindset, you focus on the impact of your work on real-world applications
- Rigour: You have a rigorous and detail-oriented approach, you ensure your work is of the highest quality, and you produce robust, scalable and maintainable code
- Proactivity: You are proactive and take initiative in identifying and addressing potential issues or opportunities. You are curious and you constantly seek to learn more about the ecosystem and emerging technologies
- Communication: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with both technical audiences (data scientists, software engineers, SREs etc) and non-technical audiences (product managers, designers etc)
- Languages: You are proficient in both French and English, daily communication is in French
What the job involves
- At the interface between the Research, Product and Development departments, you will play a key role in developing and integrating Machine Learning solutions, as the bridge between cutting-edge ML/AI algorithms and real-world impact
- You will participate in all steps of projects involving ML and AI technologies in various topics (image, audio, video, NLP, LLM, generative AI etc) in collaboration with members from different departments:
- Work with the Product team to identify real-world problems that ML/AI technologies can solve
- Partner with data scientists and researchers to understand existing machine learning models and their capabilities
- Benchmark and fine-tune available models and APIs to implement pipelines perfectly suited to specific use-cases
- Design and implement robust and scalable architectures to integrate in-house or external models and APIs into our production systems (cloud and/or on-device)
- Optimise pipelines performance and address integration challenges for real-world deployment
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration in final products
- Monitor and maintain deployed pipelines, ensuring continuous uptime and cost optimisation
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in ML, GenAI, MLOps, and the other topics related to your missions
- Work on the team tools and infrastructure with the rest of the team
- Remote working policy: 1 day of remote working per week
