Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 4+ years of experience in an enterprise sales position within data analytics or SaaS industry
- Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience preferred with an emphasis on data, data analytics, database (SQL & NoSQL), SaaS, ETL, or business intelligence
- Proven ability to generate and close new opportunities
- Consistent track record of exceeding performance objectives within a direct selling account executive role
- Proven ability to independently manage, develop, and close new client relationships within the Retail and Consumer Goods industry
- Proven success in driving consistent activity, pipeline development and quota achievement
- Experience proactively determining customer requirements and presenting appropriate solutions
- Ability to deliver presentations that are clear, concise, and persuasive to clients, senior managers, and executives
- Strategic thinking and a high energy/positive attitude
- Ability to understand and navigate complex sales cycles
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced established startup environment
What the job involves
- The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing relationships with key accounts in the North America market
- You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities, closing deals, and growing existing accounts
- You will also be responsible for providing technical and commercial expertise to customers and ensuring that they are successful with Exasol
- Passion for building customer relationships and closing new business opportunities
- Confidence and ability to effectively negotiate and close agreements with clients
- Excited about being positioned right in the middle of the exploding cloud-based economy and to develop and maintain a highly desired knowledge of Exasol solutions
- Understand the cloud application/computing space along with familiarity with data warehouse or analytic technologies
- Familiar with a solution-based approach to selling, have experience managing a complex sales process and possess excellent presentation and listening skills
- Superb organization and contact management capabilities
- Driven to achieve your mission and you love bringing the team together to achieve results together
