Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of professional experience in product analytics, data analytics, or related roles, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or equivalent)
- Proficiency with BI / visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, GoodData, Mode, or similar)
- Strong understanding of SaaS product analytics concepts: funnels, cohorts, retention, activation, feature adoption, and experimentation
- Familiarity with statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, A/B testing)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for product stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, and proactive problem-solving attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, taking ownership and driving results independently
What the job involves
- As we continue to revolutionize the payments industry we are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Analyst to help us in our mission
- Our Data Team is at the forefront of driving transformation, empowering every department to unlock the full potential of data
- You'll lay the foundations of product analytics at Payrails by establishing reliable tracking, clear metrics, and scalable frameworks for analyzing user behavior
- Define and implement tracking specifications in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers to capture key user journeys in our self-serve portal and product
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into user onboarding, adoption, retention, and free-to-paid conversion
- Conduct ad-hoc and deep-dive product analyses (funnels, cohorts, retention, feature adoption) that inform roadmap prioritization and UX improvements
- Partner with product and design teams to measure the impact of experiments (A/B tests, feature launches) and provide actionable insights
- Ensure reliable, consistent product metrics and KPIs are defined, documented, and adopted across teams
- Collaborate with the data and engineering teams to maintain high data quality, reliability, and scalability of product analytics
- Drive a culture of data-informed decision-making by enabling PMs, designers, and other stakeholders with self-service insights
