Role
Who you are
- Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle, solution-selling B2B Saas 5+ years into wealth management firms, including RIAs, IBDs, and/or wirehouses
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand client business contexts, markets, customers, competitors, and pitch solutions catered to client-specific needs and priorities
- A solid understanding of how to help partners identify their pain points and develop unique value propositions that focus on delivering ROI to the client
- Experience in negotiating and closing SaaS deals with $100K-$500K figure annual contract sizes
- Exceptional executive presence, including an ability to engage C-Suite audiences
- Experience using and advancing CRM systems to meet our needs
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, marketing, customer success, etc. to drive growth and build tailored communications and solutions for clients
- A drive to innovate and think creatively
What the job involves
- April is looking for a Senior Account Executive - Wealth Management to join our sales team
- Reporting to april’s President and Chief Operating Officer, you will have a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our business growth
- You will be responsible for closing large deals and building win-win relationships with large fintech, banking, and wealth management clients
- You will have the support of our team through Marketing and Demand-Generation efforts; however, this is a full-cycle position and you will discover, qualify, build relationships, negotiate, and help onboard new clients
- Hunting new business: Source new sales opportunities through highly targeted and strategic outbound calls and emails by partnering with our Marketing and Sales Development Teams
- Closing new business: Develop and manage your own book of business and be compensated for your success in driving the organization’s growth. This is a hunter role that targets net new logos
- Product Expertise: Become an april product expert and assist buyers through the purchasing process by qualifying, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities
- Strategy Development: Leveraging account-based Sales, determine the most effective methods to open new prospects leveraging previous successes and earned relationships
- Build Relationships: Meet with partners to build strong relationships, drive commitment, and understand their motivators
- Diligence: Update CRM system to document all activities on opportunities and follow-ups
Our take
Managing tax payments is a highly stressful and time-consuming process, with taxpayers having to track their earnings and calculate claimable expenditures, whilst navigating convoluted tax codes. Whilst tax-paying software makes this process easier, they still require manual data entry and tax code lookups, preventing the tools from being automated.
April provides an all-in-one platform for automated tax filing, aiming to streamline tax preparation, maximize tax refunds, and ensure seamless and on-time returns for its users. The company achieves this by integrating its software tools directly within the financial applications of its users, tracking their earnings and expenditures, learning individual tax scenarios, and ultimately ensuring that refunds are accurate without requiring extensive manual data entry.
Whilst many other fintech companies are developing tools that aim to make tax filing easier, April currently stands out with its approach to integrating within existing software, identifying the implications this has for automated data entry. The company is well-funded and has been investing in accelerating research and development as well as the expansion of its operations. It also recently bolstered its leadership team, in preparation for its next "chapter of growth".
