Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of professional experience in product management, experience in AI or hardware-adjacent industries preferred
- Full-stack technical literacy - you are comfortable discussing technical architectures, APIs, AI agents, and system design to work effectively with our engineering team, and have a degree is Computer Science
- Proven product execution - you’ve shipped impactful features from 0 to 1 and driven user adoption. You’ve led prioritization and roadmap trade-offs, aligned design and engineering on clear goals, and executed end-to-end from concept to launch with measurable results
- Platform thinking - strong ability to understand how platform features create value across multiple use cases and customer segments
- Excellent communication - you can write clear PRDs, present roadmaps to stakeholders, and facilitate cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, and GTM teams
What the job involves
- As a Product Manager, you will drive the build of new Atlas platform features from 0 to 1, collaborating closely with members of Arena's engineering, forward deployed, and GTM teams
- Working on fast timelines, you'll conduct user research and translate insights into product specs. You'll embed deeply with customers and spend significant time with users for new feature discovery, usability testing, and feedback sessions
- This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience driving innovation across some of the world's most vital industries—ideal for those aspiring to become founders or product leaders
- Launch new platform features - Drive the end-to-end launch of new platform features, from concept to release. Partner closely with design and engineering to define requirements, guide development, and ensure smooth implementation and successful launch
- Drive feature adoption - Drive feature adoption by partnering with deployment strategists during rollouts, gathering user feedback, and conducting onsite research to understand workflows and identify improvement opportunities
- Manage Product Backlog - Prioritize features, write tickets, and drive sprint planning with engineering leadership
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 30% of your time)
- Work in person at Arena's NYC headquarters when not traveling
Our take
Arena leverages performance data, predictive algorithms, and machine learning technology to help businesses automate high frequency decisions. In theory, the platform can be used to automate marketing strategies, promotions, inventory and supply chain management, pricing, and more.
Although AI automated decision-making may sound overly ambitious at first, a closer look suggests that it’s actually a natural progression from the huge growth of AI-powered data analytics companies. Arena separates itself from these by providing the next actionable step, rather than leaving these decisions up to internal teams.
The company’s “business decision autopilot” is used by a number of Fortune 500 businesses including multinational brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev, so it must be doing something right. While it's shown stable and impressive growth since launching in 2020, a major 2022 fundraise led by Initialized Capital and Goldcrest Capital suggests an aggressive scale up is inevitable.
