Role
Who you are
- Excellent writing skills in French and English, including the ability to distil complicated concepts into easily-digestible copy
- 3+ years experience writing copy as a UX Writer or Content Designer, ideally within a similar sector
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A data-driven approach to crafting copy
- Ability to establish a clear direction when faced with ambiguity
- Great communication skills
- Experience of managing stakeholders in an Agile environment
- Proficient at using Figma and translation tools
- Passion for inclusive design and accessibility
What the job involves
- The UX Writing team delivers clear and concise copy for Tide’s mobile and web products to help our members run and grow their business
- We work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, User Research, Product, and Engineering, to create and deliver intuitive user experiences
- We're looking for an outstanding UX Writer to drive the content across our French app. Your work will have a significant impact on the way we communicate with our members in France. You’ll be joining the growing UX Writing team - this is not a marketing role
- You’ll own UX copy in Tide’s new app in France, writing in French (and English occasionally)
- Understand business goals and user needs, then plan, develop, and deliver copy that brings the two together
- Prioritise workload to ensure copy for key projects is delivered on time
- Collaborate with Design, User Research, Product, and Engineering teams to devise holistic solutions to member pain points
- Engage with senior stakeholders to support our growth in France
- Advocate for the value of UX writing and user-centred design across the business
- Contribute to Tide’s content guidelines to raise the bar for copy across Tide
- Look for opportunities to optimise our localisation processes
- Provide French proofreading support to other areas of the business when required eg marketing, CRM, SEO

This is largely thanks to their fast onboarding times, low fees and the diversity of their products, which include a number of accountancy tools. Headed up by a former RBS, C&A and Optanus executive, Tide is uniquely positioned within the financial services market.
Having built a strong user base of over 500,000 in the UK, Tide has since launched in India, where it has an additional 50,000 users. Through further expansion into Europe and continual addition of 'first-of-its-kind' features, Tide is well set to secure a larger market share.
