Who you are

  • Several years of successful experience in sourcing and recruiting internationally, with a strong track record of finding top talent
  • Confidence in using advanced sourcing tools, search engines, and professional platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and can navigate social media and tech communities to uncover the best candidates
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with both candidates and stakeholders
  • A high level of initiative, creativity, and analytical skills, always seeking new ways to optimise sourcing strategies
  • Being adaptable, understanding cultural differences and regional market conditions when targeting candidates in global talent pools
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. A good command of the German language, ideally a B2 level

  • Experience working within FinTech or a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in areas like investment, digital banking, and emerging financial technologies
  • A passion for finance and investing, and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest FinTech trends, innovations, and market shifts
  • In-depth knowledge of the FinTech landscape, including key players, disruptive startups, and established companies in the sector

What the job involves

  • As a (Mid/Senior) Talent Sourcing Specialist, your mission is to drive innovative sourcing strategies and identify top talent in both engineering and business fields
  • You will play a key role in shaping our recruitment approach, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience while collaborating closely with hiring managers
  • Your efforts will directly influence the growth of our organisation by engaging candidates and ensuring a seamless transition into the recruitment process
  • Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract top passive candidates for technical and business roles
  • Leverage search engines, social media, and professional networks to identify and engage with candidates
  • Provide expert guidance on sourcing techniques through workshops and project work, while contributing to improvements in tools and metrics
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to discuss recruitment goals and provide real-time market insights
  • Monitor and analyse sourcing data, ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and candidate engagement

Upvest is a fintech startup that empowers financial services companies to provide their customers with access to a full range of financial assets, including stocks, ETFs and crypto products. Upvest's investment API integrates seamlessly with its customers existing systems and is designed to scale easily, freeing companies from the need to develop their own brokerage and custody infrastructure from scratch.

As one of the few companies in Germany that is licensed for both the custody of traditional securities and crypto, Upvest is able to provide its services across Europe. Its solution has been readily adopted by some major players in the space including Ginmon, Vivid and ABN AMRO.

Upvest is backed by a number of Europe's largest tech VCs (Earlybird, Notion Capital, Partech, HV Capital, ABN AMRO Ventures) alongside American investment monolith BlackRock. In 2023 it closed a VC investment round which the company has claimed is one of the largest in the German fintech arena. Its impressive capital raise will go some way to achieving Upvest's goals of profitability as it expands into the US market.
