Role
Who you are
- At least 6+ years of design experience in an agency, studio or in-house creative environment serving B2B and B2C clients
- Proven experience designing for web, paid, email, print and experiential applications
- Strong user-centered design mindset
- Ability to thrive in a hyper-growth environment, working independently to deliver high-quality work efficiently
- Familiarity with brand strategy and the ability to translate briefs into effective design solutions
- Proficiency in Figma, InDesign and other industry-standard design tools
- Solid understanding of production best practices for both print and digital
- Interest in motion design and no-code tools
What the job involves
- As a Senior Designer, you’ll help elevate our brand and deliver impactful designs across key channels
- Be a key player in driving the design for Mudflap’s current and future brand direction
- Lead hands-on design work from concept to execution, delivering high-quality and innovative creative solutions
- Design across multiple touch points with a strong understanding of UI/UX principles
- Drive the design process from ideation and prototyping to final execution, ensuring bar-raising results
- A systematic approach to design, considering scalability and adaptability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional Marketing, Product, and Engineering team members to discuss and create design solutions
- Translate complex concepts into clear, concise visuals that resonate with our target audience
- Demonstrate a command of visual and interactive design
Our take
Owner-operators make up 9% of the truckers on the road, in other words 680,000 small businesses forming the backbone of the U.S’s crucial trucking industry. However, only big fleets get major fuel discounts because they have large gallon volumes, leaving these self-employed truckers to pay full price.
Mudflap is bringing those savings to owner-operators & small fleets. When drivers sign up for the app, they join tens of thousands of users which Mudflap then leverages to drive sales for truck stops which offer discounts on fuel in return. It’s a smart model which massively simplifies the process for earning discounts compared to the old route of a fuel card which requires a credit check.
Stop managers could be sceptical about working with mobile payments in return for a promise of increased demand. However, the company provides its entire network with a Mudflap tablet through which to handle all payment transactions within the network, making it easy for whoever is behind the counter.
