Who you are
- 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and analysis
- Experience managing a self-funded medical plan arrangement is a strong plus. Workday experience is also a plus
- Highly strategic and analytical thinker who can translate data into actionable insights and practical recommendations
- Strong ability to manage complex projects end-to-end while keeping all stakeholders aligned
- A builder who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving structure in complex situations
- Strong attention to detail, execution discipline, and problem-solving instincts with strong Google Sheets/Excel proficiency
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Benefits Analyst to take ownership of the strategy, analytics, and operational foundation of our global benefits programs
- This role is focused on building and improving our reporting capabilities, conducting in-depth trend analysis, and ensuring accurate data flow across all internal and external benefits platforms
- This position requires strong analytical capabilities, vendor management skills, and end-to-end process ownership to ensure our benefits programs are competitive, scalable, and aligned with company objectives
- The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic thinking, project management, and a hunger to build, ensuring that our benefits infrastructure supports business growth while being implemented and administered accurately and consistently
- Program Analytics & Strategic Improvement
- Conduct in-depth analyses of benefits claims data, performance trends, and plan competitiveness to identify key insights and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain robust reporting dashboards to track program costs, utilization, and vendor performance
- Leverage data-driven insights to recommend strategic adjustments to our benefits programs across our global locations with a heavy focus on our largest population hubs in the US and Portugal
- Identify pain points and inefficiencies in benefits administration, proposing and driving improvements through process enhancements and automation
- Vendor Management & Data Integrity
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, ensuring strong relationships and holding them accountable for performance and data accuracy
- Own the end-to-end management of data integrity across the network of internal and external benefits portals, performing regular audits and reconciliations
- Partner closely with Finance, HRIS, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits funding, enrollment data, and financial forecasting
- Project Management & Execution Discipline
- Drive timelines for key benefits projects, including annual open enrollment, plan implementations, and compliance reporting
- Own the preparation and facilitation of vendor meetings, ensuring discussions are productive and action items are tracked to completion
- Proactively track deliverables and follow up with stakeholders to ensure execution remains on schedule
Our take
Salsify provides eCommerce retailers with a single platform to keep tabs on inventory, and unify and enrich product content descriptions used at all points of sales. The company can also manage customers’ journeys through data analysis which can allow for more personalized, engaging messaging.
As the retail world shifts more towards eCommerce, brands have to give more consideration to the customer’s digital experience from first impression to purchase. This proves challenging as each route to sale differs from the next, which in turn creates the need for a stack like Salsify.
It’s not the only company of its kind, with the likes of Salesforce and Contently having products with similar functions, but Salsify is performing strongly and has an impressive set of customers on its books including Coca-Cola and Mars. Having raised substantial funding, the company reached unicorn status in 2022, with investment cited to enable Salsify to deliver on its vision to serve as the global system of record and work for digital commerce experiences.
