Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in content creation, communications, or public relations, ideally in a technology-driven environment
- Proven ability to craft and execute successful B2B and B2C communication strategies
- Exceptional writing skills in English with a keen eye for detail
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools
- Experience with media relations and managing PR campaigns
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership
- You are a self-starter who enjoys blending strategic thinking with the operational juggling and delivery required in a startup/scale up environment
- You are a continuous learner with an interest to upskill in new tools and technologies with minimal guidance
- You thrive in a fast paced, dynamic workplace with a high performance culture
- You enjoy working closely with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and are an enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic
- Based in the Netherlands (we won't relocate from overseas for this role)
What the job involves
- As the Content and Communications Manager, you will own the end-to-end communication strategy for our brand, spanning social media, public relations, and strategic messaging for both B2B and B2C audiences.
- Reporting directly to our CEO, you’ll craft compelling narratives that align with our vision and drive engagement across multiple channels. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can operate effectively as a one-person communications powerhouse
- Strategic communications: develop and execute a cohesive communications strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and resonates with both B2B and B2C audiences
- Content creation: craft high-quality, engaging content for a variety of channels, including blog posts, social media, newsletters, press releases, and internal communications
- Brand management: ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, refining our voice and positioning to stand out in the marketplace
- Social media management: own our social media presence, creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance to optimize growth and engagement
- Public Relations: build and maintain relationships with media outlets, draft press materials, and manage proactive and reactive PR efforts to enhance our brand visibility
- Stakeholder collaboration: work closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment on messaging, and support cross-functional teams with communication needs
- Analytics and reporting: track and analyze communication metrics to measure success and refine strategies based on data-driven insights

Our take
As cities grow larger and more congested, there is a serious lack of parking locations. ParkBee aims to address this problem by developing smart car parking technology that optimizes the use of current resources in order to provide travellers with access to the best place to park.
The startup leverages its network of locations, smart integrations and predictive systems in order to utilize underused parking locations and to direct traffic to the right place at the right time. It is used by the UK’s most well-known public car park operators, hotels and private commercial office spaces. It also allows landlords and other private car park owners to monetize their spaces by making them available to the public.
ParkBee's business model involves splitting the revenue generated through renting each parking space with the owner, and the fee it charges consumers with partners RingGo or Parkmobile. It already operates hundreds of connected parking locations across a number of countries, expanding healthily over the years.
