Role
Who you are
- DNA Script is looking for a dynamic and talented individual to join the Data Science team as a Data Science engineer
- Engineering school/Master in the field of either Computer Sciences, Data Sciences, or Statistics
- Coding experience in python (for example Jupyter notebooks, Pandas, data visualization, web framework like Django/Dash/Flask)
- Experience working with databases
- Highly motivated and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : interest in learning from R&D scientists, ability to understand their needs and explain how to use the developed tools
- Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
- Good level in English
What the job involves
- In this role you will play a crucial role in helping the company leverage its data and gain valuable insights.
- By organizing and analyzing the vast quantities of data generated by our proprietary DNA printers and other activites, the engineer will enable our biologists and engineers to make informed decisions and drive innovation.
- Their work will be central to the development and maintenance of data analytics pipelines, the support of data infrastructure, and the implementation of the company’s AI strategy
- Work with the data science team to organize and leverage the data of the Company
- Help support the data infrastructure supporting the data flow and consumers at the company (bioinformatics, finance, etc)
- Define and support the data model of the company
- Develop and maintain data analytics pipelines
- Provide novel insight based on data
- Help in implementation of the companies AI strategy

Our take
Outsourcing DNA synthesis can be a large problem for R&D labs, as unprecedented factors such as delivery delays or issues on arrival can lead to schedule alterations and material that is no longer suitable for use. DNA Script attempts to solve this issue by democratising DNA synthesis for laboratories everywhere.
DNA Script facilitates biological and scientific development through providing proprietary equipment to labs that facilitates in-house DNA synthesis. The equipment eliminates the need for a reliance on external sources, and can significantly speed up workflows and operational efficiencies.
An issue found with equipment is that the DNA synthesised may vary in quality across locations, a problem that the company is committed to addressing through investigations and evaluation. By increasing the ability of labs to carry out DNA synthesis, the possibilities of the tech are vast and have the potential for significant revolutionary scientific developments. 2022 funding has facilitated the advance of DNA Script's SYNTAX Platform, allowing scientists to print synthetic nucleic acids, avoiding the need for third-party waiting times.
