Who you are
- Strong experience in designing and developing API integrations
- Netsuite expertise
- Proficiency with ecommerce systems such as Shopify
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Celigo or Boomi
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve integration issues quickly
- Ability to think critically and strategically to optimise workflows
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in integration and workflow automation

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Workflow Integration Engineer with a technical background to join our team and streamline our operations through automation
- The Operations team is central to ensuring the smooth functioning of our processes
- The Workflow Integration Engineer will work closely with all departments to identify and automate time-consuming or repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and productivity across the company
- You'll design and exploit existing API integrations to connect our diverse platforms and systems (Shopify, Amazon, NetSuite) and ensure integrations are secure, scalable and maintainable
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing integrations promptly to minimise downtime and disruption
- Perform regular health checks and maintenance on integrations to ensure continuous smooth operation
- Work closely with all Yoto departments, understanding their workflows and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencies
- Engage with external stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance system interoperability
- Evaluate, implement, and manage tools that automate and optimise workflows across the organisation
- Ensure these tools are user-friendly and provide training to team members as necessary
- Continuously monitor workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve overall productivity
- Develop and manage a tiered system for workflow automation and efficiency improvements within Yoto, with a particular focus on Tier 2 enablement

Our take
A key development in the last 5 years has been a move towards screen-based kids entertainment like apps and streaming services. However, more recently there have been concerns that excessive screen time for children can be damaging to health and development. So, many consumers are looking for alternative products which will expose children to modernity without the drawbacks of many modern devices. This is the demand which Yoto is setting out to capitalise on.
Yoto's product - a screen-free audio platform - enables children to access features such as audiobooks, podcasts, and soundscapes via physical cards inserted into the device. The Yoto Player has received considerable early praise from consumers and from investors also, who granted Yoto considerable funding.
Perhaps the most difficult challenge for a business operating in the highly competitive children's toys market is keeping its product current. However, Yoto's software is fully customisable, meaning that alongside its library of content, parents can add their own audio files to the device to suit the interests of their children. This imbibes Yoto with a customisability that gives it an edge, especially as children's tastes change with age.
