Role
Who you are
- 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering or similar analytics-focused roles
- Strong experience with SQL and modern data modeling practices (e.g., dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas)
- Experience using DBT (preferred) or an equivalent transformation framework
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (ideally BigQuery; Redshift/Snowflake okay)
- Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools like Airflow or similar
- A strong understanding of healthcare data (especially claims, labs, pharmacy) and its common challenges
- Comfort handling PHI/PII, with familiarity around HIPAA-compliant analytics practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
What the job involves
- We are hiring an Analytics Engineer to join our Data Foundations team. This is a net-new headcount as we scale the foundational data that powers everything from clinical analytics to operational dashboards and client-facing reports
- You will work between data ingestion and transformation, helping us build and monitor pipelines that power analytics across core healthcare datasets like medical claims, pharmacy, lab results and biometric data
- You will also contribute to building robust, scalable data models in DBT + BigQuery, serving use cases across product, operations and clinical teams. This role is ideal for someone who’s technically strong in SQL/DBT, experienced with healthcare data and eager to work at the intersection of infrastructure, data quality and downstream impact
Our take

Vida Health integrates a wide variety of these innovations in the healthcare industry into packages, aiming to provide improved healthcare to individuals, employers and health insurers with an organized selection of physical and mental health services. This approach is more convenient and effective than finding and signing on to individual services, and Vida has accordingly grown a large customer base including the likes of PayPal, ebay and Prudential.
With the mass of options available to improve healthcare becoming overwhelming, Vida Health has been smart to identify the need for an integrated solution. Investors agree - it has attracted significant levels of funding. Going forward the company is well poised to grow further as employers increasingly realize the importance of supporting their employees' mental and physical health needs.
