Role
Who you are
- Strong proficiency in Node.js development with a solid understanding of its core principles and ecosystem
- Extensive experience in designing and building serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and the ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant applications
- Proficiency in working with MySQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Strong experience in AWS services, including but not limited to S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, IAM, Athena and CloudWatch
Desirable
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with serverless frameworks like Serverless, AWS SAM, Terraform or Cloudformation
- Experience with AWS Fargate for container-based deployments
- Experience with AWS Lambda Layers and custom runtimes
What the job involves
- We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with expertise in serverless architecture, MySQL, distributed systems, infrastructure as code, and strong experience in AWS. As a part of our dynamic development team, you will play a crucial role building and maintaining systems.
- Your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend solutions using the latest technologies and best practices. In addition to your technical responsibilities you will have the opportunity to help and mentor junior team members
- Designing and implementing serverless backend solutions using Node.js, MySQL, and AWS technologies
- Developing and maintaining APIs and microservices to support front-end applications and other systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and propose effective solutions
- Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and trends in backend development and AWS services
- Documenting technical specifications, architectural decisions, and codebase documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a reliable system
- Developing and optimizing database schemas, queries, and indexes for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Designing and implementing caching strategies to improve system performance and reduce latency
