Role

Who you are

  • Dotmatics is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with an understanding of both Node.js and React to join our team
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions that meet our company's needs
  • We are looking for people who have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent working experience and 3-5 years of experience in software development
  • The key skills we are looking for
  • Node.js and frameworks, such as Express
  • React and React patterns/concepts
  • Typescript
  • SQL Databases (Postgres)
  • RESTful APIs
  • AWS and various components inside of AWS
  • Containerization (Docker, AWS ECS/EKS)
  • CI/CD tools, such as Github Actions, and CodePipeline
  • Deployment technologies like Terraform
  • High-level web application design
  • Agile software development methodologies and practices

Desirable

  • Windows desktop applications OR scalable distributed systems
  • Scaling applications to process large volumes of data and events
  • Automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Object-Oriented languages (e.g. C#)
  • Life science research experience

What the job involves

  • Collaborate with the software development team in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions using Node.js and React
  • Contribute to the development of software architecture and design principles for the organization
  • Ensure the scalability, maintainability, and security of software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Working on groundbreaking Scientific Software products such as LUMA you will bring an understanding of Node.js, React, and the latest software development practices to the team, in this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with wider teams on best practices alongside other developers
