What the job involves
- Babylist is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our growing analytics team
- He power of Babylist is in our product and the long term relationship we have with our users
- We are continuing to improve our core user experience and create new experiences in shopping, health, etc
- As a Senior Data Analyst you will help to ensure that the business is making data driven decisions during all aspects of the product life cycle from early-stage return on investment modeling all the way to designing, executing and analyzing product feature experiments that drive value
- You will work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers

- As a Senior Data Analyst you play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting this culture, you drive business impact
- You will partner and be paired with a functional team, within the functional team you take on the shared responsibility of setting and achieving their goals from a data perspective
- You enable your functional team to make better decisions through incremental and big step function work
- Create a lasting impact with data at the core of Babylists, acting as a multiplier to your functional team's bottom line
- Build, own and leverage high level dashboards to quickly and reliably monitor the business performance, product and user experience
- Partner with PMs in the development of insights and recommendations to unlock value through data, collaborating with the broader team of data experts
- Keeping up with the domains that you own, and fully understanding the business you support
- You manage stakeholder relationships, priorities and requirements on a daily basis
Our take
Since its 2011 launch, Babylist has grown into one of the most highly rated baby registries in the US. The difference it offers is that it allows users to include products from any store in their registries. On top of this, the company’s model also focuses heavily on creating informational content, which allows it to generate ad revenue while building customer loyalty.
Originally scaled with fairly low venture funding, Babylist claims half of new parents in the US now use its services. This, given that the baby products industry is worth close to $90 billion, shows the company's immense growth and speaks to the impact it has made in the space.
Babylist has seen strong funding in the past, which has fuelled projects such as the launch of virtual showrooms and further expanded the company's presence. The company acquired Expectful, a health and wellness tool, in 2023 with the long-term vision of combining the two companies into a larger health and wellness media property that can help people navigate all aspects of parenthood from fertility to diapers.
