Who you are

Ability to troubleshoot complex systems

Knowledge of networking and networking protocols
Knowledge of cybersecurity
Knowledge of source code management tools; e.g. Git

What the job involves

Detecting attackers in real-time requires a high-performance suite of software that enables machine learning and statistical techniques
The Software Engineer will be joining an Austin-based team that has been tasked with enabling customer teams to more efficiently detect and respond to cybersecurity threats
This presents a unique opportunity to grow with the team and your responsibilities and help shape the processes and practices of the team, as well as the technical architecture and delivery
Translate product requirements and concepts into software designs and implementation taking scalability, performance, operational effort and cost into consideration
Develop data pipelines for both research and production purposes, using a variety of distributed systems and databases
Work with other groups including Product Management, UX, Security Research, and Data Science to help customers simplify security
Provide technical leadership in addition to mentoring and encouraging other engineers
