Our take
Minute Media operates in the ever-evolving digital sports and entertainment landscape, where innovation is key to staying ahead. As traditional media struggles, digital platforms that focus on niche, engaging content - especially in sports - are thriving. And this is something Minute Media is capitalizing on, engaging global audiences across multiple channels, including social media, streaming, and interactive content.
The company owns and operates renowned sports brands, including Sports Illustrated, The Players' Tribune, FanSide, and 90min. Alongside this, it provides sports highlight rights through its acquisition of STN Video, a move that enhances its offerings of video content and distribution technology. Helping the company firmly establish itself as a leader in digital sports media.
On top of this, the company has recently made some big strategic moves, including its acquisition of VideoVerse, a leading AI-powered sports video platform, in a deal valued at over $200M. This move not only expands the company's global technology capabilities with a large team of AI developers in India, but also positions Minute Media to offer a fully integrated solution for creating, distributing, and monetizing sports content in real time. With its growing portfolio and a $1.4B valuation, the company is very much set to lead the next wave of innovation in digital sports media.
