Who you are
- We’re looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and motivated HR Intern to join our People team for the summer
- If you're passionate about people and ready to make an impact, we’d love to meet you
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
- Proficiency in Google suite; familiarity with Confluence, Airtable, and HRIS systems is a plus
- Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and asking great questions
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- This is more than just an internship—it’s your chance to dive into the full spectrum of HR functions, from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee engagement and operational support
- You’ll work on meaningful projects you’ll be proud to highlight on your resume, while gaining hands-on experience and learning from experienced HR leaders who are eager to mentor and support your growth
- Duration: 10–12 weeks | Paid Internship
- Help Shape Our People Policies: Assist in updating and refining HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure clarity, compliance, and consistency across our global team
- Build Our Digital HR Hub: Take the lead in designing and launching an internal HR/People website on Confluence. You’ll create a centralized, easy-to-navigate space where employees can access all things HR—policies, programs, FAQs, and more
- Modernize Our HR Systems: Support the auditing of HR databases and employee records as we work to integrate between tools like Greenhouse, BambooHR, and Awardco. Your attention to detail will help streamline data accuracy and improve system connectivity
- Reimagine Our Leave Policy: Evaluate current leave offerings across all Aerospike locations. You’ll help us create a unified, equitable global leave policy by researching best practices and making data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to the Future of Work at Aerospike: If you're passionate about strategy and big-picture thinking, help us shape our Work@Aerospike approach. You’ll explore questions like: How often should we work from the office? Where will we hire talent next? Should teams be co-located or distributed? Your insights will influence how we grow and collaborate as a company
Our take
Aerospike is a high speed data platform that promises to reduce server footprints by up to 80%. Aimed at satisfying large-scale data platform requirements, clients include PayPal, Verizon Media, European Central Bank, and Snap Inc.
While there are other data platforms available such as DataStax, Redis Labs and Couchbase, Aerospike sets itself apart through offering no trade off between cost and a high level of performance and consistency on a large scale.
As massive petabyte data sets become the norm for large businesses, Aerospike realises the need for systems that can handle this in real-time. Its release of Aerospike Connect brings connectivity of Aerospike Database 5 with a range of big-name open-source frameworks such Apache Spark, Presto, Pulsar, Kafka and JMS - making Aerospike products more useful to a wider client set. Impressive Series E funding awarded in 2024 will be used to further develop its AI capabilities, specifically around graph and vector functions, capitalising on the current boom in the machine learning sector.
