- 2+ years in a finance, operations, or accounting role
- Experience with accounting systems (we use NetSuite and PayEm)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects with minimal supervision
What the job involves
- We are looking for an Accounting Operations Associate to join our team
- You will support accounting by ensuring operational tasks are completed accurately and timely
- This person will work to build and improve processes around Procure to Pay (P2P) and other accounting key functions
- Oversee our Procure to Pay software (PayEm), policies, and processes, ensuring that they are effectively managed and optimized to meet the company's needs
- Manage the company's global P2P process by managing Purchase Order requests, purchasing cards, vendor onboarding, contract management and reporting
- Partner with Finance on Budget Analysis and Coding
- Work to streamline processes and implement best practices that support our accounting operations
- Resolve issues and escalations identified by the team or our business partners
- Assist with the administration of other finance/accounting software tools
