Role
Who you are
- BA/BS in engineering, business, or a related degree, and/or MBA
- 4+ years in SaaS product marketing with vertical marketing experience
- Passionate about working with customers and experts to develop targeted messages and assets
- Experience in ROI-based selling and creating compelling customer case studies
- Working knowledge of key applications and systems used in one or more target verticals, including Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, and more
- Stellar written and verbal communication, with experience simplifying concepts and influencing stakeholders, and impeccable attention to detail
What the job involves
- Glean is searching for an experienced Head of Solutions, Verticals, and Business Value Marketing
- This person is responsible for building-out Glean’s marketing function to target specific departmental and vertical use cases, as well as develop ROI tools and methodologies for communicating business value for these solution areas
- Develop Glean’s targeted marketing message and tactics for vertical markets
- Research and understand our customers in target verticals. Learn their use cases, their KPIs, and their approach to AI-powered productivity
- For each vertical, develop a comprehensive plan to address each segment, including target personas, solution-specific messaging, outbound lead generation strategy, and partnership strategy
- Build-out a complete set of persona-specific messaging for the target vertical(s), including sales presentations, website copy, whitepapers, demos, demand generation assets, etc
- Develop/curate a set of Glean prompts, workflows, actions, and tools that drive Glean adoption in the target verticals
- Enable go-to-market teams on messaging and approach. This includes fellow marketing staff, sales, technical sales, and post-sales go-to-market teams
Our take
Glean is an intuitive digital assistant which allows employees to search across all their apps and find the information and tools that they need more quickly.
With so many SaaS apps being used by modern day companies, overwhelm and inefficiency inevitably enter the equation. Glean’s search engine is proving popular for how it unifies and centralizes all these distributed tools and data.
It’s been quite a start to life at Glean, having only emerged from stealth in 2021, it received a $1 Billion valuation in early 2022, thus achieving unicorn status, and has received nearly $400 million in funding so far. The SaaS platform is already used by some major companies including Grammarly, databricks, and Rubrik.
That Glean was co-founded by a quartet with senior experience at Google, Microsoft, Uber, and Facebook stands the company in good stead. However, it’s the fact that its search engine is solving a new, but very real problem in the workplace that’s seen its popularity surge so quickly, which it’s likely to continue to do in the future. Its adaptability to include new AI capabilities to its platform, such as generative AI, has Glean well set to see further growth.
