For 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in applied AI/ML or intelligent automation

Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), APIs, and microservices at scale

At Okta, weʼre building the future of secure, enterprise-grade AI. Weʼre looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, AI to join our global team and lead our US-based group of AI engineers, working in close partnership with peers in India
The team is dedicated to building high-impact, user-facing AI features
Together, weʼre delivering applied AI solutions that transform employee and customer experiences, while building the agentic AI solutions that make innovation scalable and secure
At Okta, youʼll be part of a global AI engineering team at the forefront of AI innovation
Youʼll work on both applied solutions that create immediate business impact, and platform products that define the long-term AI foundation for thousands of employees and customers
Lead and grow an AI engineering team in US as part of a unified global AI team
Partner with Product Managers and peers to define priorities, share roadmaps, and deliver projects that matter
Build and scale the Agentic AI solutions — enabling reusable AI agents, orchestration, and enterprise-grade guardrails
Deliver Applied AI solutions that improve productivity, decision-making, and customer/employee experiences
Ensure engineering excellence through secure design, scalable architectures, and reliable delivery
Collaborate across functions — Security, Infrastructure, Data, and Business stakeholders — to accelerate AI adoption at scale

Our take

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.

The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. It aims to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.
