Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role, e.g analytics, consulting, data science, or an equivalent analytical role conducting quantitative analysis on large datasets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills and leadership ability
- Proficiency using SQL to query large data sets, with a strong understanding of statistics and experimentation
- You are impact-focused, eager to jump in and work in a fast-paced environment
- You are a strong critical thinker, excited to solve ambiguous problems
- You are collaborative, forming trusting relationships with your cross-functional teammates and communicating data clearly across a broad audience
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Product Analytics Lead to drive strategic analysis that helps Front make data-driven decisions about our product
- In this role, you will be working at the intersection of data insights and product strategy, leveraging data to inform high-impact business and product decisions around the adoption of critical Front features and workflows
- You will focus on our core product experience, conducting analysis throughout the product development process, sizing opportunities, analyzing experiments, developing and monitoring key metrics, and informing strategic decisions with data
- Making actionable recommendations about product strategy and prioritization based on a deep understanding of customer engagement and behavior
- Partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and analytics functions across the company to identify opportunities, drive key metrics, and set strategy across multiple product areas
- Generating insights by conducting exploratory analysis, assessing trends, and analyzing A/B tests
- Mentoring and developing team members, leading by example and identifying ways to improve analytics skills and processes
- Evangelizing product data across the company, building excitement around metrics and insights
- Collaborating with other data & analytics functions to ensure we have the right data foundations in place
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopify and Convoy. However, it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here, though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. Now with $100 million in annual recurring revenue, it's moving to further develop its product and increase its market share, hiring new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future. Definitely watch this space!
