Who you are

5+ years experience leading software development for a SaaS platform
Experience working in a solo product and or development role and working into lean teams
Familiarity with agile processes, sprints, and iterative development to ship high-quality products efficiently
Right to Work in the UK

Desirable

Previous experience in PropTech and/or start up environments
Understanding of the UK property/construction market would be a huge plus

What the job involves

Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across our platform — including UI, backend APIs, and database logic
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using modern technologies (e.g. TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL)
Perform maintenance and optimization on the existing platform
Decide what tools and features to implement (and when) based on customer needs, industry insights, and data
Help shape technical specs during planning sessions by contributing engineering input on scope and effort
Build features with reusability and user experience in mind — understanding common SaaS patterns (auth, billing, dashboards, etc.)
Occasionally jump into Figma or tweak UI flows to keep momentum high when design support isn’t immediately available

SearchLand’s platform allows property developers to source off market sites by linking disparate data such as ownership information, planning records, local policy restraints, and prices, then contact landowners directly.

While there are a few platforms with this depth of information available, SearchLand is banking on its searchability to set it apart, letting users search only for plots that meet their criteria if they wish.
