Role
Who you are
- We’re hiring a full-time Talent Acquisition Advisor who is energized by the challenge of finding high-impact talent across both technical and senior leadership roles
- This is a strategic role that requires someone who can partner closely with executives, understand nuanced org design needs, and confidently engage senior-level candidates across Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations
- This isn’t your average recruiter role — we need someone who’s passionate about building executive-caliber pipelines, leverages data to drive results, and knows how to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
- If you bring a sharp eye for top-tier talent, love connecting people to purpose, and are energized by solving complex hiring challenges, we want to meet you
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth, fast-scaling startup environments
- 2+ years of experience hiring for Director-level and above roles across departments (e.g. Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Operations, People)
- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience, especially for Software Engineers (RoR, React, Swift, Swift UI, Objective C, Kotlin) and Product roles
- Ability to influence and advise senior leaders with confidence, data, and market insights
- Strong track record of sourcing and engaging passive talent, especially at the leadership level
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for building diverse, high-performing teams
- Experience building and maintaining trusted, consultative relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates
- Advanced proficiency with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools like SeekOut, HireEZ, or Stack Overflow
- Ability to collaborate in-office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

- Building and executing recruitment strategies specifically focused on product, design, and engineering roles, with an emphasis on attracting candidates who thrive in scaling startup environments
- Developing a strong pipeline of passive and active candidates through creative sourcing techniques
- Partnering closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and tailor recruitment efforts accordingly
- Acting as a strategic, trusted partner to hiring teams and EPDD leadership ensuring they are equipped with insights, resources, and best practices to interview and make assured business and hiring choices
- Driving an inclusive hiring process that aligns with Homebase’s commitment to diversity and equity
- Contributing to talent strategy discussions to continuously improve our hiring processes
- Tracking and analyzing hiring metrics to inform data-driven recruitment strategies
- Understanding and utilizing recruitment analytics and metrics to assess pipeline health, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive sourcing and outreach methods to captivate top-tier candidates
- Bringing thoughtful, creative, and bold new ideas to help iterate and optimize our hiring efforts and relentlessly work toward continuously improving our processes and efficiencies

Our take
Homebase provide employees and businesses with time tracking applications, with a range of other HR functionality built in. Homebase automates the process of managing employee scheduling, and also helps companies improve internal communications.
The company contributes to the reduction of paperwork in an office by turning an array of devices into time clocks that track hours and overtime, while also providing payroll support. This makes it easier for companies to remain in sync, running a more efficient operation as a result.
Given that Homebase's customer base of small businesses is not able to pay a lot for its product, scale is the key driver in the company's future success. With over 100,000 customers already, its significant venture capital backing will ensure that the company will be able to grow (notably it's investing in Canadian talent) to provide its services on a profitable scale.
