Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a versatile Senior UX Design Lead who excels in UX design, interaction design, and information architecture
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Strong technical capabilities, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, and information architecture
- Experience in the cybersecurity or enterprise software industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools such as Invision, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience with prototyping tools and usability testing platforms
- Familiarity with React & HTML/CSS
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to receive and provide constructive feedback
What the job involves
- This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience of our enterprise cybersecurity products
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex cybersecurity concepts for our users
- Lead the end-to-end UX design process from concept to execution
- Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Develop interactive design solutions that enhance user engagement
- Design and optimize user flows, ensuring seamless navigation and task completion
- Collaborate with developers to implement interactive elements effectively
- Organize and structure content to improve findability and usability
- Develop sitemaps, hierarchies, and taxonomy of the product features
- Ensure that complex cybersecurity information is presented clearly and logically
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on product goals
- Present design concepts and rationale to team members and leadership
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Our take
With cyber threats becoming increasingly common over the last decade, securing access permissions within data infrastructures is essential to enterprise survival. However, managing this task can be expensive and complicated, leading some small businesses to combine various budget open-source data services which results in insecure and convoluted infrastructures.
strongDM provides a tool for managing permissions and access within data infrastructures, achieved by ensuring information is siloed to prevent one person from accessing all parts of the infrastructure. In addition to providing these modular security features, the company also makes it easier for technical staff to access the information that they need based on one-click identity checks.
Whilst plenty of data infrastructure tools already exist with the purpose of securing permission, strongDM have made the smart move of integrating their siloed approach to auditable permissions whilst making access easier for those with permission. The company claims that its service guarantees frictionless and auditable data infrastructure by also automating access logging and data capturing across entire IT stacks. Its 2024 funding round will be used to expand its operations into the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. It's also setting up an engineering center of excellence in Poland.
