Role
Who you are
- Proven B2B SaaS sales experience — ideally in HRTech or Talent/L&D
- Deep understanding of US business culture, sales cycles, and decision-making dynamics
- Entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, resourceful, and data-savvy
- Strong communication skills with both prospects and internal teams
What the job involves
- This isn’t just another AE job
- You’ll be our first sales hire in the US, and you’ll play a pivotal role in building our American presence from scratch
- From GTM strategy to client acquisition and market feedback, you’ll shape our success in the most promising new region
- Prospect and qualify top-tier accounts aligned with our Ideal Customer Profiles (HR, Talent, L&D)
- Own the full sales cycle: cold outreach → demo → proposal → closing
- Close both inbound leads and outbound opportunities
- Work with the EU-based Account Management team to scale existing clients in the US
- Adapt our messaging and campaigns with the Global Marketing Director to fit US expectations
- Represent AssessFirst at key industry events (starting with HRTech Las Vegas – Sep 2025)
- Provide field insights to shape campaigns, product messaging, and GTM materials
- Partner with the Head of Partnerships to identify local resellers, advisors, and tech integrations
- Co-build co-hosted events and referral strategies
- Lay the groundwork for future hiring (SDRs, CSMs, AEs)
- Act as the voice of the US market internally and ensure full alignment with HQ
- As part of this new role and the expansion of our presence into a new market, you’ll be the very first person to help us establish ourselves in the United States
- This means there’s tremendous potential to build a truly “Made in US” entity from the ground up
- Of course, you won’t be alone, you’ll be supported by our Sales and Support teams based in France and the UK. You’ll also be directly managed by Quentin, our Head of Sales

AssessFirst is a French-founded human resources tech firm that uses behavioural science and predictive analytics to identify applicants with the highest potential for future success and job match in the user’s company.
Founded in 2002, the company has not only had time to finesse its model and technology, but means that, now, the software can analyse data on over 5M profiles. It has since been used by around 4,000 companies, as it has been found to raise internal performance and drive down recruitment costs whilst increasing employee retention.
Following 2021 funding from CAPZA, AssessFirst is investing in accelerating the launch of new product features whilst continuing its development in France and Europe through its external growth strategy. It is an exciting transitional period for the company as it attempts to penetrate the U.S. This funding will enable even faster expansion than anticipated.
