Role
Who you are
- Bring 3+ years of proven experience in QA Automation Engineering, preferably within a game development studio or related industry
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Possess a strong understanding of Unity and .NET Core development
- Have profound knowledge of software testing methodologies and test-driven development (TDD)
- Have experience with automated testing tools such as NUnit, xUnit, Jest, etc
- Are familiar with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems like Jenkins and Gitlab
- Stand out by excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for video games, educational games or kids apps is a plus!
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our entrepreneurial game development studio
- In this role, you will be the driving force behind setting up and maintaining automated testing systems for our Unity and .NET Core repositories
- Your mission: build smart, scalable tests for our existing codebases and help us catch bugs before they even think about showing up. Efficiency is your superpower — with 200+ games and many, many features, it’s all about creating a testing setup that’s both powerful and fast
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for Unity and .NET Core applications
- Collaborate with developers to understand system requirements, functional specifications, and interfaces
- Write automated tests covering various aspects of the game such as functionality, performance, usability, compatibility, and security
- Implement continuous integration (CI) practices to automate the testing process
- Analyze test results and debug issues found by the automated tests
- Develop and maintain documentation for test cases, test plans, and test strategies
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure efficient and effective test coverage
- Contribute to improving testing methodologies and tools used within the studio
- Work closely with other departments, such as development and project management, to resolve any issues found during the testing process
- Focus on leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to effectively automate test creation
- Stay updated with the latest trends in game development and QA automation
Application process

After our company presentation, you will have the space to tell us why you would be the perfect fit for us and we are happy to answer all of your questions
- Depending on the position, there is now a small homework for you - either an art/coding test or the elaboration of some questions within a case study
- We schedule another interview with the direct report of your position. You will elaborate the task or questions you have solved
- You (e-)meet one of the co-founders. Depending of the position, we will now ask you for some references
- After a couple of days, we will get back to you with the final decision and you become part of #teamedurino, yay!
- The following onboarding steps include meetings with your onboarding buddy and your team members, getting to know everyone from both our business and tech team and of course receiving your EDURINO onboarding box!
Our take
Educational resources have a problem - while they are training children for the world they live in now, the future that they will live in is going to look very different, and require very different skills, with a greater focus on digital, technical and mathematical knowledge than what is typically taught to children today. Edurino exists to provide this learning from the very earliest stages with a comprehensive educational program for children aged 4-8.
While the EdTech sector abounds with offerings to help children improve scholastically, Edurino stands apart by taking a hybrid approach, offering a specialised stylus and haptic physical toys that interact with its learning app. Edurino's offering has been enthusiastically received, with 160 educational institutions using its products and 100,000 units sold to individual families.
Edurino has raised funding in a Series A round led by DN Capital in 2023. This funding will be used to onboard new talent as the company prepares to expand regionally. Having launched across the German, Austrian and Swiss (DACH) area, it is taking aim at growing into additional European markets in the near future.
