- 6+ years of experience in influencer or celebrity management
- Ability to leverage personal network of agency partners, talent representatives, and industry contacts

- Platform fluent across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels with a strong understanding of native content formats

What the job involves
- Rent the Runway is looking for a Senior Manager of Influencer to own and scale one of our most visible and high-impact marketing functions
- This is a builder role
- You'll lead the strategy, the relationships, and the execution that puts RTR in front of the right people, in the right cultural moments
- You'll sit at the intersection of influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and content, sitting within the Social team
- You’ll work across three core areas: growing RTR's reach, relevance and acquisition through influencer programming, concepting and executing campaigns for brand partnerships, and casting talent for RTR's social shows
- Build influencer and creator campaigns, ideas, and platforms that truly break through culture and resonate
- Identify and vet talent across tiers that authentically align to RTR's brand and member demographic
- Manage agency and direct talent relationships to maintain a strong, active creator pipeline, staying ahead of emerging talent before they hit the mainstream
- Own influencer contracting end-to-end: negotiating rates, usage rights, exclusivity, and deliverables in partnership with Legal and Finance
- Develop and maintain a roster management system to track active talent, deal terms, and renewals
- Develop and brief influencers and agencies on campaign objectives, creative direction, and content requirements; oversee content review to ensure brand standards are upheld
- Manage campaign timelines and deliverables across multiple simultaneous programs, both internal RTR initiatives and sponsored brand partnerships
- Concept and execute 360° brand partnership campaigns that drive equity and commercial impact, owning the process from brief to launch
- Cast influencers and talent to appear in RTR's social shows and content series, matching the right voice to the right moment
- Build and own RTR's influencer reporting framework tracking reach, engagement, conversions, and overall campaign ROI

Our take
Rent the Runway seeks to profit from two important trends in apparel consumption: wanting to stay on top of the latest fashion trends while living and purchasing sustainably. By providing a platform for women to rent designer pieces, its users can have it all.
The company allows users to rent, subscribe, or buy designer apparel and accessories. It achieves this with its network of partnerships with hundreds of top designers and managing the crucial but complicated logistics in-house. It offers its partnered brands sophisticated analytics about potential customers in return for lower prices on designer garments.
Rent the Runway is now focused on diversifying revenue streams while reducing its costs. Its recent partnership with Amazon is an example of this new direction: while it will use this channel to sell clothes previously rented through its platform, it will, for the first time, be selling new clothes based on rental items modified in line with market data.
While moves such as this may well shift Rent the Runway towards profitability, it also risks undercutting the company's central message of sustainability and supporting the circular economy. The company believes that by creating better quality clothing, it will nonetheless be aiding in the fight against fast fashion. Time will tell if this move helps or hinders the sustainability movement, but it is likely to boost Rent the Runway's bottom line regardless.
