Our take
Born from its founders' decades of collective experience, Beacon Platform is a a next-generation, cloud-native, quant development platform that allows users to make the best of the custom risk management and trading applications they deploy and use on a daily basis.
The platform promises to make firms more agile. It does so by boosting developer productivity, increasing the return-on-investment of research and development efforts. Users are able to build apps in mere days (through rapid prototyping tools), allowing them to spend more time otherwise generating business value.
Past funding has been put to expanding Beacon's workforce, particularly in engineering and sales, and scaling across markets in new locations. The integration of the platform by Blackstone, a global alternative asset manager, was a key moment for the company. And it will need to continue such endeavours if it's to stay ahead of the curve.
